For PHP, simple use the code you would normaly put in between <?php and ?>. For everything else, such as HTML, ASP, CSS, etc.. you can use the optimized source text, but just do Generate the code, PHP encrypt was ment to encode PHP source. Anything else is just a bonus for you.
1 - File Menu
Use this to open a text file instead of copy and pasting.
2 - Help Menu
Use this when you are ready to register your copy.
3 - Source Count
This is how many bytes your source text is using. After basic optimization, by simple stripping all the extra whitespace, you can save a considerable amount of space.
4 - Encrypt Count
How many bytes after encryption. In general, your encrypted count will be about 4 times the original source size. But don't worry, even if you compiled your source to bytecode (which we don't do) the final output would be about the same size. With Easy PHP Encrypt, you can run your encrypted code and just about any version of PHP. No worries about modules or extensions.
5 - Encryption Time
This gives a rough idea of how long it might take to decrypt your code. What ever you do, don't encrypt your entire website, it doesn't make sense. Just encrypt the parts of your code you don't want your users to have access to.
6 - Optimize Button
Select a factor level, then when you optimize, all whitespace will be removed and you end up with a long string of text.
Depending on the factor size, all variables lenghts will be 4 plus the factor as well as hashed to new variable names. You will also be notified if you have any double slashes (use /* */ instead). If you are using double slashes as comments, you need to strip them out or your encrypted code will not work as expected.
You will also have the option to obfuscate your function names, use caution and only use it if you know what you are doing.
Also note, if you have any full url's the warning will show up about comments, just ignore it, as html will not be affected.
7 - Factor Selection
Factor can be used with Optimize and with the Generate button. Optimize will use all 4 settings, while generate only uses 0 through 2. Factor is used seperately for both options. So you can optimize with a factor of 4, but generate your final encryption with a factor of 1.
8 - Generate Button
Generate will produce the final encrypted code based on the factor you selected. As mentioned, Generate only uses 3 factors, all of which produces differnt results. Factor 2 uses the more amount of encryption techniques, while 0 uses low level encryption.
The final code generated will always be different, even if you regenerate the same source code.
